I think panama is in stage three of the demographic transition. I think this because it has low death rate and decreasing birth rates. The main reason why birth rates are decreasing because fertility rates are steadily decreasing. Although some of Panama's population is in poverty their health care is rapidly improving which means the life expectancy is longer.
