I think Madagascar is in stage 2 of the demographic transition. I think this because there is rapid decrease in death rates while the birth rate remains high. 60% of Madagascar's population is under 25 and the have a high fertility rate that is about 4 children/woman. Although Madagascar's living conditions are poor they are improving healthcare and medicine which is allowing people to stay healthier and live longer.
